| SHEENA WOOD BEATS
ROYAL TARLAIR RECORD FORMER Scotland international player Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies) has slashed three shots off the Royal Tarlair Golf Cllub course record at Macduff. Sheena had a score of 67 in winning the Culvie & Karen Open. The previous lowest round was a 67 by Northern Counties player Margaret Ewen of Keith. Miss Wood, who has a handicap of one, said that she knows the Royal Tarlair course better than most, having learned to play golf there as a girl. Sheena, winner of the Aberdeenshire women's county championship for the past three years, lost her North of Scotland title at Downfield earlier this month. Royal Tarlair is just one of the North-east courses where she holds the women's record. |
