Lindsey wins European Trophy in R&A Junior Open
Lindsey Hunter, 12-year-old Dalmahoy Golf Club junior member, scored
a golden memory-making category victory in the R&A Junior Open for
Under-16 boys and girls at Royal Musselburgh Golf Club.
Lindsey, whose club handicap of 13 was boosted by a further two strokes
per round allowance for girls in the competition, had net scores of 66
and 63 for a superb 36-hole total of 129. This won her the European Trophy,
awarded to the competitor, male or femlae, from Great Britain & Ireland
and Western Europe with the lowest net total from the first two rounds.
