JANICE MOODIE HANDS OUT PRIZES AT HER OWN GIRLS' TOURNAMENT
Solheim Cup star and US LPGA Tour player Janice Moodie, back in Scotland
for next week's Weetabix British Women's Open championship at Turnberry,
not only donated all the prizes as usual but this year was able to present
them in person at the Janice Moodie Trophy girls' open tournament at her
old home golf club, Windyhill.
All the competitors also received a free lunch and refreshment.
Katie Brown (Murrayfield) was the overall winner with the best net score
of 69 off a handicap of 18.
Addi Shamash (Kirkcudbright) had the best scratch score of 77 and the
age group winners with net scores were Fiona Blair (Monifieth), 10 to
14 years; Alex White Windyhill), 15 to 17 years, and Clare McNeil (Milngavie)
18 to 21 years.
