ABERDEENSHIRE WITHOUT LYNDSEY DEVENISH FOR COUNTY FINALS
NORTH of Scotland women's champion Lyndsey Devenish is not, after all,
going to fly back to Scotland from California where she is a student at
San Francisco University, so that she can play for Aberdeenshire in the
Scottish women's county finals at Portpatrick Dunskey Golf Club from September
20 to 22.
Lyndsey drops out of the side that won the Northern Division title at
Glenisla. So too does another Cruden Bay member, former Scottish women's
championship finalist Christine Middleton.
Into the line-up comes Julie Henderson (Inverurie), beaten by Sheena Wood
in the final of the Aberdeenshire women's county championship at Cruden
Bay but unavailable for the Northern Division championship.
Laura McLardy (Murcar), who has played for Northern Counties in previous
Scottish women's county finals before her move to Aberdeen from Banff,
comes into the side along with Lynne McPherson (Deeside).
