The decision of Buchanan Castle's Kylie Walker to turn professional makes it a far more wide open Dunbartonshire & Argyll women's county golf championship which teed off today with the stroke-play round to decide the 16 qualifiers for the match-play stages at Hilton Park over the next two days.
Kylie had won the title four times in the past five years. The No 1 seed this year is Anna Telfer (Milngavie), pictured, whose better inward half gave her the top ranking after home-course player Aileen Baker also had an 81 - six over the CSS.
Kirstin Scott (Milngavie), beaten by Walker in last year's final at Hayston, qualfied in 13th position with a 92.
