Janice Moodie won $59,560 for joint fourth,

her first top-10 finish of LPGA season

Janice Moodie achieved her first top-10 finish of the 2009 LPGA Tour by finishing joint fourth in the Navistar LPGA Classic on Sunday.
The Glasgow-born player, who led the field with a 64 in the first round, finished with a 71 for 13-under-par 275, five shots behind the winner, Lorena Ochoa who signed off with a 70 for 18-under 270.
The Mexican won by four shots from Michelle Wie and Brittany Lang and earned $195,000 for her victory - compared with over $1,000,000 which Matt Kuchar collected for winning a play-off at the sixth extra hole in the US PGA Tour event this past weekend.
Janice Moodie's take-home pay was $59,560 and boosted her season's LPGA earnings to $195,492 which places her 56th in the money list, compared with Women's British Open champion Catriona Matthew's $433,291 and 26th place.
Moodie's peak years on the LPGA Tour were from 1999 to 2002 inclusive when she had her four most fruitful seasons - $447,903, $534,833, $595,463 and $424,238.
