MURCAR LINKS WIN LYON FOURSOMES FOR THIRD YEAR IN A ROW Murcar Links completed a hat-trick of trophy wins when they beat Cruden Bay by four holes in the final of the Aberdeenshire Ladies Golf Association Lion Foursomes inter-club match-play team tournament at Kemnay Golf Club. Murcar Links' lead-off pair of Susan Murray and Donna Pocock were held to a square game by Cruden Bay's Gillian Murray and Karen Stalker but Mhairi Johnstone and Laura McLardy gave Murcar Links their winning margin by beating Christine Middleton and Ros Dunsmuir by four holes. Mhairi Johnstone played in a winning Murcar Links team for the first time Results: Semi-finals Cruden Bay beat Deeside 1 by four holes (G Murray, K Stalker 3, F Hay, M Millership 0; C Middleton, R Dunsmuir 1, S Kidd, M Clyne 0).
