Weather delays at Ladies Irish Open:

Finish not now expected until 8pm

The third and final round of the AIB Ladies Irish Open is underway after two delays due to a sea fog at Portmarnock Links this morning.
Play resumed at 4.04pm and is due to finish at approximately 8pm this evening.
The final round was suspended for 30 minutes from 9.50am due to a dense sea fog which rolled in from across the Irish Sea with a second, 3hr suspension at 1pm.
The last group had played two holes and were standing on the third tee before the second delay.
Italian Diana Luna heads the field on seven-under-par and is being chased by three other players on six-under. Frenchwoman Gwladys Nocera, who won five LET titles last year, picked up two early birdies in her first four holes to trail the lead by one with Sweden’s Sophie Gustafson and England’s Melissa Reid. Gustafson, Reid and Luna have opened with three straight pars.
Amateur Danielle McVeigh leads the Irish challenge on one-over after six holes with new professional, Tara Delaney, one behind.
