Wind drops and now Michele is in

triple tie for Florida lead

Michele Thomson, the rookie Ladies European Tour professional from Ellon, will start the third and final round of the SunCoast Ladies Tour tournament in Florida in a three-way tie for the lead at Country Club of Mount Dora.
The wind dropped for the second day's play at this elevated course well above sea level, robbing the 21-year-old Curtis Cup player of her big advantage over the field which had seen her go three shots clear, even with a four-over-par round of 76 on Tuesday.
In the calmer conditions, she posted a second-round 74 for a 36-hole tally of 150 and was joined on the six-over-par mark by New York State amateur Kristina Wong, who returned an excellent 69, 12 shots better than she managed in the wind, and Germany's Miriam Nagle who lopped 10 strokes off her first round score with a 70.
Michele is hoping to play several events on this Florida ladies' satellite tour so that she can put an edge on her game before she makes her debut on the Ladies European Tour in the Swiss Open in the middle of May.
