Douglass loses in quarter-finals:

All-French final in Spain

It will be an all-French 18-hole final of the Spanish women's open amateur championship at Las Palmas, Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands on Sunday.
Three French girls reached the last four and two of them - Rosanna Crepiat, the No 21 qualifier, will play Lucie Andre, the No 3 seed.
Left-hander Charlie Douglass (Brocket Hall), pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency at the recent Hacienda del Alamo Women's Winter Festival, was beaten 2 and 1 in the quarter-finals by France's Emilie Alonso, the No 10 qualifier.
Alonso won the first with a birdie.
Douglass squared at the second with a par.
Alonso won the sixth with a birdie and the eighth with a par to go two up.
Douglass won the 10th with a par to be one down.
Alonso won the 11th with a birdie to go two up.
Douglass won the 12th with a par to be only one down.
Alonso won the 14th with a bogey to be two up.
Remainder of holes halved.
Mandy Goyos Ball, teenage daughter of a Lancashire woman, was beaten 6 and 4 in the quarter-finals by Sweden's Johanna Tillstrom.
