Murrayshall Golf Club, Perth member and Scotland international Gavin Dear has won the Dixe men's amateur championship over four rounds at Coral Springs, Florida.

It's the most prestigious festive period golf tournament in Florida and has been won by some great names in its 78-year history.

In October, Gavin Dear, Callum Macaulay and Wallace Booth became the first Scotland winners of the Eisenhower Trophy men's world amateur team championship at Royal Adelaide, Australia.
