Frost in Florida? Yes, and it delays start
of LPGA Tour Final Qualifying School

Who would have thought it was as cold - well, nearly as cold - in Florida as it was overnight in Scotland and the rest of Britain?
The start of play in the LPGA Tour Final Qualifying School at Daytona Beach today was delayed because of FROST!
The local radio/TV station was leading off with the news that "the mercury plunged into the low 30s overnight!"
The field of 140 will be cut to 70 players and ties after 72 holes and the survivors will compete for the 20 fully exempted spots in Sunday's final round. The 20 is a precise number. If there is a tie for the final spot there will be a play-off. Those finishing 21 through 40 will have non-exempt status for the 2009 season.
Scotland's Vikki Laing and England's Melissa Reid are in the field. Good luck to both of them! They will certainly need it over the 90-hole.
