Welsh champion Kirsty struggles
in Pat Bradley Invitational
Welsh champion Kirsty O'Connor (Ball State University, Indiana) finished tied 48th in a field of 70 for the Pat Bradley Invitational women's college tournament at Pelican Preserve Golf Club, Fort Myers in Florida.
Over a par-72, 6118yd course, Kirsty from Lancashire had disappointing scores of 83, 76 and 80 for a total of 239 - some 27 shots behind the winner, Belen Buendia (Florida International), who had rounds of 74, 70 and 68 for four-under-par 212.
Florida International also provided the runner-up, Paula Hurtado with 67, 70 and 77 for 214. They also won the team event by 10 shots from Florida Southern in a field of 13 teams.
