Jo Carthew enters Ladies Euro
Tour Qualifying School
FROM SANDY SMITH'S LADYBANK GOLF CLUB NEWSLETTER
Jo Carthew has taken the plunge and entered the Ladies’ European Tour Qualifying School in January.
Jo has had many highs this season, including breaking her own course record at Ladybank (now 68), getting down into plus handicap figures, playing a prominent role in helping the Fife ladies win the Scottish team championship and, not least, her excellent runner-up finish at the Scottish Amateur at Moray earlier in the season.
I’m sure everyone will wish Jo all the very best on this exciting venture at La Manga, in Spain.
Sandy Smith, Ladybank GC professional
Dates note:
The LET Qualifying School pre-qualifier over 72 holes starts at La Manga on January 5. The qualifiers go forward to join those exempt from the first stage at the Final Qualifying Tournament, also at La Manga, also over four rounds, from January 12 to 15.
The field will be cut to the leading 50 and ties after 54 holes. The leading 30 and ties at the end of four rounds will gain Category 8a membership.
