Jacqueline Sneddon finishes joint
second in Grand Canyon event
Jacqueline Sneddon from Meigle, Perthshire, a student at Grand Canyon University, Arizona, finished joint second in the Grand Canyon Fall Invitational women's tournament at Coldwater Golf Club, Avondale.
Jacqueline, the first round leader in the 36-hole event over a par-72, 6043yd course, had scores of 73 and 75 for 148.
She was caught over the second round by Chelsa Helget (Sonoma State) who scored 78 and 69 for 147. Chelsa's Tuesday score was the only sub-par round of the tournament.
It was still Jacqueline's best performance since she went to America for the start of the 2007-2008 term.
Kelly Rainbolt (Lubbock Christian) matched Jacqueline's 148 total with scores of 75 and 73.
The first three finished three shots clear of two players in joint fourth place on 151.
Grand Canyon University (619) finished second behind California Baptist (615) with Sonoma State (622) third of 15 teams.
