Good start by Alasdair Forsythe in America
Freshman Alasdair Forsythe from Glasgow was the top Davis & Elkins College student in the season-opening Senator Shoot-out at The Raven course, Snowshoe Mountain Resort on Sunday.
The freshman Scot finished sixth out in a field of 35 with rounds of 81 and 73 for 10-over-par 154.
Davis & Elkins College shot 342-334 as a team to finish in fifth place. Ohio Valley University won the team title shooting 305-300. Brian Affleck (Potomac State College) won individual honors by winning a sudden death playoff over Paul Raines (Ohio Valley University). Both Affleck and Raines shot a two day total of 147, thus forcing the playoff.
