Mhairi Johnstone, semi-finalist in the recent Scottish Under-18 girls' championship at Alyth, shaved two shots off her own Aberdeen Kings Links women's course record with a two-under-par round of 66 in the Northern club's women's medal on Tuesday.
Mhairi, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency, who is preparing for the British girls' championship at Monifieth and the Nick Faldo Series Scottish Final at The Roxburghe, had an eagle 2 at the 12th and birdies at the 14th and 17th in an inward half of four-under-par 29.
She bogeyed the fourth and fifth in an outward two-over 37.
