Lauren (13) wins English Under-18 title

Warwickshire teenager Lauren Taylor has teed up in this week’s English girls’ Under-15 championship fresh from a national success. The 13-year-old won the Under-18 title at last week’s English stroke-play championship at The Berkshire.
Lauren was one of the youngest competitors in the field and finished in 22nd place overall with scores of 73 74 76 78. The CSS for the tournament was 77 in the first round and 76 for the rest of the event.
Lauren, who plays at Rugby, is a two-handicapper and a member of the English Women’s Golf Association’s Midlands B Select Squad. This week, she’s at Ramside in County Durham in the English girls’ Under-15 championship.
Her younger sister Charlotte, age 12, is taking part in the Under-13 championship, which is being played on the same course. Charlotte is a member of EWGA’s Birdies Midlands West Squad.
