Kelsey MacDonald top seed for Scottish
girls match-play championship
Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar) relegated defending champion Carly Booth (Comrie) to the No 2 seed role by finishing ahead of her in the qualifying rounds to the Scottish Under-18 girls championship at Alyth Golf Club today.
Scottish schoolgirls champion Kelsey, who was also the top qualifier at the Scottish women's amateur championship at Lossiemouth in May, had rounds of 74 for 148 - three ahead of Carly who scored 73 and 78.
New Scottish Under-14 champion Lesley Atkins (Minto) kept up her good run of form with scores of 75 and 77 for 152 and third place.
