PAMELA LEADS THE BRITS IN US
FUTURES TOUR EVENT

Ayrshire exile Pamela Feggans was lying in joint seventh place in a field of 144 at the end of the first day of the US Futures Tour event, the Aurora Health Care championship at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
The former Scotland amateur international from the village of Patna shot a one-under-par 71 to be three shots behind 18-year-old American leader Mindy Kim, winner of her first pro event two weeks ago.
Feggans had halves of 35 and 36.
Vikki Laing from Musselburgh was also out in 35 but sagged after the turn to finish on 74 and a share of 37th place.
Brenda McLarnon from Belfast had halves of 36 and 37 to be sharing 23rd place on 73.
Londoner Polly Willett struggled to an 80 with halves of 40 and starts the second round in joint 126th place.
