Katy disappoints with 80 in Florida
Katy McNicoll from Carnoustie, a student at Lynn University, Florida, was lying in joint 17th position after the first round of the NCAA Division 2 women's South Regional championship at Mission Inn Golf & Tennis Resort, Florida.
Katy had a disappointing eight-over-par round of 80 at the 6,165yd course.
She had double bogeys at the par-4 seventh and par-5 10th in two halves of 40. Her only birdie came at the long 14th.
Sandra Changkija (Nova Southeastern) led with a 72, one shot ahead of four players.
