AYRSHIRE MATCH-PLAY QUALIFIERS

Defending champion Lesley Hendry (Routenburn) had an off day but still qualified for the match-play stages of the Ayrshire women's county golf championship at West Kilbride Golf Club today.
Lesley returned an 85 to be eighth of the 16 qualifiers behind top seed Morag Macpherson (Troon Ladies) who finished three clear of Jennifer Linklater (Largs) and Greta Smith (Ardeer) with a 78.
