US Curtis Cup player Stacey Lewis wins
weather-hit Longhorn Invitational

United States Curtis Cup team selection Stacey Lewis (Arkansas University) battled through rain and wind to score her 10th win on the American women's college circuit in the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at the University of Texas golf course, Austin.
Rain washed out the second day's play, reducing the event from 54 holes to two rounds but the weather was not much better today when the tournament was completed.
Lewis was able to win by one shot with scores of 74 and 77 for a total of 151 - seven over par for the par-72, 6344yd course.
Whitney Myres (Florida) was runner-up with a pair of 76s for 152.
First-round leader Ornella Jouven (Florida) could not cope with the rain and wind and slumped from a 72 to an 83 for 155 and a share of fourth place.
GB&I Curtis Cup team choice Jodi Ewart (New Mexico) from Catterick scored 79 and 80 for 159, which was good enough to gain her a top-20 finish, joint 18th to be precise.
Gemma Webster (Ohio State) from Glasgow finished joint 38th on 163 with scores of 79 and 84.
Hannah Burke (Baylor) from Wiltshire scored 82 and 89 for 171 to share 74th place in a field of 90.
Jodi Ewart's New Mexico University won the team title with a total of 623 - only one shot ahead of runners-up Florida.
Texas (630) were third with Arkansas (632) fourth. Ohio State (648) finished eighth and Baylor (660) 14th in a field of 18 teams.
Meanwhile, at Bayonet Golf Club, Seaside in California, Jacqueline Sneddon from Meigle, a student at Grand Canyon University, shot rounds of 95 and 87 for a total of 182 which earned her joint 40th place over a par-73m 5814yd course.
Jacqueline finished 31 shots behind the winner, Shraddhanjali Singh (Tarleton State) with scores of 81 and 70 for 151.
