SPRINGLAKE INVITE EVENT
Carnoustie's Katy McNicoll continued along the recovery road from a knee operation to finish joint 10th in a field of 50 for the NIU Springlake Invite women's college golf tournament at Springlake Golf Club, Sebring in Florida.
Katy, pictured right, a student at Lynn University, Boca Raton in Florida, had rounds of 75 and 85 for a total of 160. A near gale-force wind was blowing for the second round over the 5,920yd, par-72 course.
Ann Marie Dalton (High Point University) from Carlow, Ireland finished fifth with 74 and 83 for 157.
Joint winners were Maha Haddiou (Lynn) and Heather Hagerman (Florida Gulf Coast) on 150. Maha had rounds of 74 and 76, Heather 71 and 79.
Lynn University and Florida Gulf Coast University tied for the team title on 633, 21 shots ahead of the third placed Drake University.
