FEMALE AMATEUR, TURNS PRO
Germany's top female amateur, Sandra Gall, a 22-year-old student at the University of Florida, has turned professional to accept her LPGA Tour card. At the weekend she finished 14th in the Final Qualifying School.
Sandra is No 1 in the European Golf Association's women's amateur rankings for 2007. She won four college titles during her years with the "Gators."
Footnote on the LPGA Q School: Australia's Sarah Kemp birdied the last FOUR holes to get among the card-winners. She finished joint ninth.
