SCOTTISH SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP FOR
INCHMARLO GOLF CENTRE NEXT JUNE
Next year's Scottish schoolboys and schoolgirls golf championships will be hosted by Inchmarlo Golf Centre, Banchory on Monday, June 16.
The tournament is over two rounds of the Laird's Course, and will be contested by most of the best Under-18 golfers in the country.
The leading boys and girls will be trying to win places in the Scotland team for the schools international match against England at Royal Lytham & St Annes on September 22.
Inchmarlo Golf Centre, which now has excellent, villa accommodation available for short-term rental on the estate, is also staging the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association's 2008 Scottish county finals from September 19 to 21, featuring the champion teams from the North, East, West and South Divisions in three days of round-robin match-play.
Inchmarlo Golf Centre has a nine-hole course as well as an 18-hole circuit. It also has a covered driving range, a restaurant and a member's clubhouse which will probably be used for both the Scottish schools and the Scottish women's county finals.
