KRYSTLE HALVES WITH
GERMAN ACE AS GEORGIA REACH MATCH-PLAY
FINAL IN FLORIDA
The University of Georgia women's team, including freshman Krystle Caithness from Cellardyke, Fife, are through to the final of the Hooters Collegiate Match-play Championship for Women at Ginn Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, Florida.
Georgia, the sixth seeds, will play Duke University, the top-ranked women's college team in America.
Duke beat Tennessee 4-1 in the first semi-final. Rookie Rebecca Watson from South Queensferry was in the Tennessee line-up. She lost at the 20th to Rebecca Kim.
Georgia overcame Florida 3 1/2-1 1/2 with Krystle (pictured above) halving her match with Florida's highly-rated German player, Sandra Gal.
Tennessee and Florida will play off for third place.
