Apologies to Andrea Downer, a 20-year-old sophomore student at Murray State University, for not recognising her as English - and belated congratulations for her individual victory in the recent Sea Trail Intercollegiate tournament.
Andrea, pictured right, went to Murray State a year ago from Surrey and quickly established herself as the Racers’ No 1 female golfer. She won the Sea Trail event with rounds of 74-71-70 for a one-under-par total of 215 over the Willard Byrd course (par-72, 5,947yd) at Sunset Beach, North Carolina.
