LAURA DAVIES BOUNCES BACK
TO LEAD IN AUSTRIA WITH
ONE ROUND TO GO

Just a week after failing to survive the cut in the De Vere Ladies Scottish Open, Laura Davies showed her talent for being able to put bad rounds behind her by firing a course record, seven-under-par 65 to take a one-stroke lead going into the third and final round of the UNIQA Ladies Open near Vienna, Austria.
Davies, who carded a 69 in her first round at Golfclub Forenwald in Wiener Neustadt on Friday, is on 10 under par.
Defending champion Sophie Gustafson of Sweden, last week's at The Carrick at Cameron House, carded a six-under 66 and is alone in second place.
Italian Diana Luna is two strokes further back on seven under.
Davies, who began the day two strokes behind overnight leader Sarah Nicholson, said: "I'm playing well. Sophie's playing well too and some of the other players are up there, so it won't be easy.
"I'll have to see how I go on Sunday. If I play like I did the last two days, I'll have a very good chance."
Inverness-based New Zealander Liz McKinnon (pictured above) is in her best position of her pro career - joint third on 140 (70-70) with one round to go.
Claire Queen had one of her best rounds of the season to qualify on 141 with a second-round 68. The Scot birdied the fourth, seventh, eighth and ninth and had no bogeys.
Lynn Kenny also survived with 72 and 73 for 145 but Kathryn Imrie failed to make the cut mark of 147 after scores of 75 and 78 for 153.
Becky Brewerton was a surprise non-qualifier with 76 and 74 for 150.
