$2,000 PUTTER WINDFALL FOR VIKKI LAING

Musselburgh exile Vikki Laihg, eighth on the US Futures Tour money list with earnings of $34,151 after her first win as professional, has received a four-figure windfall as the winner of the final YES! Golf "Gimme" Series player performance programme.
The 26-year-old Scot Laing earned $2,000 for being the player using a YES! Golf C-Groove putter who posted the highest finishes in a designated number of Futures Tour events.
With one event to go on America's No 2 women's pro circuit, Laing is eighth in the money list. If she can make the top five at the end of it, she will automatically gain an LPGA Tour player's card for next season.
If she doesn't finish in the top five money-winners but keeps her place in the leading 15, then she will go straight to the LPGA Final Qualifying School at Daytona Beach, Florida from November 28 to December 2, rather than have to compete in any regional eliminating contests.
