VIKKI 75 IN HUNTERS OAK CLASSIC AS
NATASHA LEADS GB&I COMPETITORS
Vikki Laing from Musselburgh had a three-over-par 75 in the opening round of the US Futures Tour event, the Hunters Oak Classic, at Queenstown, Maryland.
Over a 6,339yd, par-72 (36-36) links-type course, Vikki had halves of 37 and 38 to be lying joint 73rd and a bit too close to the 36-hole cut-off point for comfort.
South Wales amateur Natasha Morgan, pictured right, spending her summer holidays from Lynn University, Boca Raton in Florida, playing American's No 2 female professional tour, was in joint 20th place after a par-matching 72 (38-34).

Natasha, who will be 21 in October, comes from Monmouthshire. She is going into her senior year at Lynn University and has picked up valuable tournament experience on the Futures Tour.
Polly Willett from London had a 73 (37-36) to be sharing 29th place.
Brenda McLarnon from Belfast was joint 50th with a 74 (38-36).
Leading the field on five-under-par 67 (35-32) was Mollie Fankhauser from Columbus, Ohio.
Next best were Sarah Martin from Michigan (35-34) and Yoora Kim (South Korea) (35-34) on 69.
