KELSEY LOSES SHARE OF CLUBHOUSE LEAD LATE IN DAY IN BELGIUM JUNIOR INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Two of the last players to finish on the second day relegated joint clubhouse leader Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar) into a share of third place in the girls' section of the Belgian Junior International Championship at Royal Golf Club of Belgium, Brussels today.
Kelsey, who will be 17 in October, has had rounds of 75 and 73 for a 36-hole total of four-over-par 148, the same as Switzerland's Rebecca Huber.
Kelsey bogeyed the third but bounced back to birdie the sixth and eighth to be out in one-under-par 35. She bogeyed the 10th and 16th after the turn for 38 home.
Then late in the day 17-year-old Italian Alessia Knight came in with an excellent second round of three-under-par 69 for a tally of three-under-par 141. And 21-year-old South Africa Kim Williams posted a 71 for 146.
Megan Briggs (Kilmacolm), 18, improved by five shots with a second-round 75 for 155. Megan bogeyed the second and fourth but birdied the fifth to be out in one-over 37. She started the inward half with bogeys at the 10th and 11th but birdied the 13th before she had further back to back bogeys at the 14th and 15th. Megan notched her third birdie of the day at the 16th.
Andrew McLachlan (Bonnyton) is sharing 13th place in the boys' section after improving from an opening 77 to a 71 on the second day for 148. McLachlan, pictured above right, had an immaculate card of 17 pars plus one birdie at the eighth.
