Holly Aitchison (The Bedfordshire) won the St Andrews Junior Ladies' Open tournament for the Golf Monthly Trophy at the end of last week.
Holly beat the defending champion who came all the way from Australia - Whitney Hillier from Joondalup, by one hole in the final.

In the semi-finals, ~Whitney beat Welsh junior international Lucy Gould (Bargoed) by 3 and 2 while Holly beat Gillian Monteith (Portpatrick Dunskey) 6 and 5.
Lauren MacCallum (McDonald Ellon), a pupil at Loretto Golf Academy, Musselburgh, won the Girls' Open Quaich.
Playing off seven, Lauren beat Kirsty Simpson (Murrayfield) (24) by 3 and 1 in the final .

Lauren beat Annabel Niven (Crieff) and then five-handicap Jill Meldrum (Dullatur) in the semi-final, en route to the final where she had to give away 17 shots. In the other semi-final, Kirsty Simpson beat Claire Bain (St Michaels) (handicap 19) by 5 and 4.
Lauren said she loved playing the Old Course three times in two days. "She drove the ball to the Valley of Sin in front of the 18th green. I wish I could do that!" said her proud dad Willie.
