A FEW DOLLARS MORE FOR VIKKI LAING

Musselburgh exile Vikki Laing finished joint 64th of the 70 qualifiers for the final round of the United States Futures Tor's USI championship at Beaver Meadow, Concorn in New Hampshire yesterday.
Vikki had deteriorating rounds of 74, 75 and 77 for 10-over-par 226 and earned $465.
The only other British qualifier, South Wales amateur Natasha Morgan - a student at Lynn University, Boca Raton on Floriday - finished last with 72, 76 and 81 for 229.
South Korean Ji Min Jeong won the $10,500 top prize with a seven-under-par total of 209. She scored 70, 69 and 70 to win by three strokes from Tiffany Tavee from Arizona.
