ENGLAND NAME TEAM FOR SENIOR WOMEN'S
HOME INTERNATIONALS IN IRELAND
England will be aiming for a fifth straight win in the Senior Home Internationals which take place at Royal Tara Golf Club in County Meath, Ireland, from October 2-4.
The six players who won the silver medal for England at the European seniors’ team championship are all in the side for the matches.
They are:
Carole Caldwell (Sunningdale).
English senior stroke-play champion Sue Dye (Delamere Forest).
English seniors’ champion Sue Ellis (Ferndown).
British seniors’ champion Chris Quinn (Hockley).
Hilary Smyth (Pannal).
Christine Watson (Beaconsfield).
They will be joined by another experienced senior international, Pat Wrightson (Huddersfield). The non-travelling reserves are: Elaine Elliott (Whitley Bay) and Barbara Laird (Sandiway).
The team will be captained by Cathy Bowerbank (Dinsdale Spa).
