ENGLAND NAME SQUAD FOR EUROPEAN
INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Four internationals who played all 72 holes of the Women’s British Open are included in England’s squad for the European ladies’ amateur championship at Golf National, France, from August 29 to September 1.
They are:
+Melissa Reid (Chevin), who won the amateur salver.
+English champion Naomi Edwards (Ganton).
+Rachel Bell (Ganton).
+ELGA order of merit titleholder Kerry Smith (Waterlooville).
They will be joined by their fellow GB&I internationals:
+Liz Bennett (Brokenhurst Manor).
+Rachel Jennings (Izaak Walton) who was the 2006 English girls’ champion.
+Florentyna Parker (Royal Birkdale), the French lady juniors’ champion.
