ENGLAND TEAM FOR UNDER-16 GIRLS
MATCH AGAINST SPAIN AT HESWALL

English girls’ Under-15 champion Heidi Baek will represent England in the annual Under-16 international against Spain.
Heidi, 13, from Felixstowe Ferry, Suffolk, is one of four girls selected for the match, which takes place at Heswall Golf Club, Cheshire, on Tuesday, August 21.
All four girls are members of the English Ladies’ Golf Association’s regional Select squads. The others are:
Sian Evans, 15, from Faversham, Kent, who reached the quarter-finals of the English girls’ championship.
Alex Peters, 13, from Notts’ Ladies, who is the Midland ladies’ champion.
Helen Searle, 14, from West End in Yorkshire.
Helen and Alex both played in the European Young Masters where England won the silver team medal. The match will be followed at Heswall by the North of England Under-16 championship from August 22-24 where ELGA will be represented by a squad of eight players.
The quartet playing in the Spain match will be joined by:
English Under-13 champion Hannah Turland, 13, from Tidworth Garrison, Wiltshire.
Hayley Davis, 14, from Ferndown, Dorset, who was fourth in the English Under-15 championship.
England girl internationals, Raffi Dyer, 15, from Hayling, Hampshire, and Kelly Tidy, 15, from Manchester.
Kelly plays in ELGA’s Futures U18 squad while the other three are in the regional Select squads.
