PAMELA PRETSWELL, JANE TURNER IN SCOTLAND TEAM TO DEFEND GIRLS'
HOME INTERNATIONALS TITLE
Six of the eight girls who won the girls’ home internationals golf championship for Scotland last year have been selected again for this year’s three-day event against England, Ireland and Wales at Southerndown Golf Club, South Wales from August 8 to 10.
Rachael Livingstone (Musselburgh Old) and Michele Thomson (McDonald Ellon) are over the 18 years’ age limit and their places go to new caps Pamela Pretswell (Bothwell Castle) and Jane Turner (Mortonhall), pictured right.
Sammy Vass, the Tain 15-year-old who reached the semi-finals of this week’s Scottish girls championship at Peterhead, is named as first reserve.
Team, captained by former Scottish women’s champion Elaine Moffat (St Regulus), is:
Carly Booth (Comrie), Megan Briggs (Kilmacolm), Krystle Caithness (St Regulus), Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar), Roseanne Niven (Crieff), Pamela Pretswell (Bothwell Castle), Jane Turner (Mortonhall), Sally Watson (Elie & Earlsferry Ladies).
Reserves: 1 Sammy Vass (Tain), 2 Rebecca Wilson (Monifieth), 3 Rebecca Watson (Elie & Earlsferry Ladies).
