Kent-born Australian Lindsey Wright knocked out Annika Sorenstam by 3 and 2 in the second round of the HSBC women's world professional match-play championship at Wykagyl Country Club, New Rochelle in New York State.
Then the world's No 1, Lorena Ochoa, was beaten on the last green by Meaghan Francella and Maria Hjorth beat Paula Creamer.
Catriona Matthew (first round) and Janice Moodie (second round) are also on the sidelines.
