BOUND FOR FAIRMONT ST ANDREWS
The European Golf Association has named a very strong team to play Great Britain & Ireland in the women's amateur international match for the Vagliano Trophy at Fairmont St Andrews on July 27 and 28.
It includes Carlota Ciganda (Spain), winner of the British women's open amateur championship at Alwoodley, Leeds last month, and the beaten finalist, Anna Nordqvist (Sweden), a former British girls' open championship winner.
Belen Mozo (Spain), winner of both the British girls' and women's open amateur titles last year, is also in the line-up.
Six of the team of nine players are on golf scholarships at American universities.
