VIKKI SUB-PAR BUT ONLY JOINT 20th

Vikki Laing was in joint 20th place with a one-under-par 71 in the first round of the Michelob Ultra Players' Championship, the only "major" event on the US Futures Tour.

The Musselburgh exile was four shots behind joint leaders Beth Bauer from Florida and Liz Janangelo from Connecticutt.

South Wales amateur Natasha Morgan had a 74 and Londoner Polly Willett a 75.
