LIZ McKINNON CARRIES ON IMPROVING WITH
72 IN NORTHERN IRELAND LADIES OPEN

Inverness-based New Zealander Liz McKinnon continued her improved from on the Ladies European Tour with a par-matching 72 in the first round of the Northern Ireland Ladies Open today.
Liz birdied the third, fifth and 16th and had bogbeys at the 12th, 15th and 17th in halves of 34 and 38.
Lynn Kenny, playing out of Archerfield Links, had a 73 with birdies at the fourth, fifth, 15th and 16th as well as five bogeys in halves of 37 and 37.
Clare Queen (The Carrick at Cameron House) had a bad day by her high standards. She had a double bogey 6 at the eight and five single bogeys. Birdies at the fourth, ninth and 16th helped a bit but couldn't undo all the damage in halves of 39 and 37.
