JANICE, BECKY AND JOHANNA ALL QUALIFY
FOR UNITED STATES WOMEN'S OPEN
Janice Moodie, Becky Morgan and Johanna Head all came through this week's 36-hole sectional qualifiers for the United States Women's Open, to be played at Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club, Southern Pines in North Carolina from June 28 to July 1.
Janice, Becky, competing at Woodmont Country Club, Rockville in Maryland, and Johanna, playing at Heathrow Country Club, Florida, all totalled 145.
Absent from the list of qualifiers was the name of Spanish amateur Belen Mozo who decided not to defend the British women's open amateur championship at Alwoodley, Leeds this week and to have a go instead at qualifying for the US Women's Open.
