VIKKI LAING JUST MAKES CUT IN
FUTURES TOUR MAJOR


Vikki Laing made the cut with nothing to spare in the Michelob Ultra Players’ Championship, the only “major” on the US Futures Tour, at Hickory Point Golf Club, Decatur in Illinois.
Vikki had rounds of 71 and 75 over the 6,954yd, par 72 course for a total of two-over-par 146 – nine shots behind joint leaders, Emily Bastel from Ohio and Jeanne Cho-Hunicke of Florida.
South Wales amateur Natasha Morgan, a student at Lynn University, Boca Raton in Floriday, had scores of 74 and 71 for 145.
Londoner Polly Willett did qualify after rounds of 75 and 73 for 148.
