DIVISION TITLE ON MONDAY

Aberdeenshire, the only team with a 100 per cent winning record going into the final day’s play at Cruden Bay, are obvious favourites to win the North Division women’s inter-county team golf championship – and with it a place in the Scottish county finals at Tulliallan GC at the end of August.
Shire’s final opponents Angus could yet upset all the calculations by beating them in their final encounter but their form has been patchy. Angus beat Northern Counties 5 ˝-3 ˝ on Saturday but slumped to a 6-3 defeat by defending champions Perth & Kinross on Sunday.
Aberdeenshire followed up an impressive 6-3 win over Perth & Kinross on Saturday by beating Northern Counties 7-2. In the top singles Laura Murray (Alford), pictured above, beat Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar) 3 and 2 and there were other wins for Shire from Michele Thomson, Sheena Wood and debutante Sara Thomson.
