TOP QUALIFIER BREANNE LOUCKS IN
LAST FOUR OF WELSH CHAMPIONSHIP

Top seed Breanne Loucks, the Curtis Cup player from Wrexham, has won her way through to the last four of the Welsh women's (closed) amateur championship at Royal St David's Golf Club, Harlech.
In the first of Tuesday morning's semi-finals, Breanne will play Lucy Gould (Bargoed), the 2002 and 2003 Welsh girls' champion, who has been playing on the US women's college circuit for East Tennessee State University over the past year or two.
Breanne beat clubmate Jo Nicolson by 3 and 2 in the quarter-finals in which Lucy beat Becky Harries (Haverfordwest), who lost in the final to Stephanie Evans (Vale of Llangollen) last year.
Stephanie lost her grip on the trophy when she was beaten by Sahra Hassan, the 2005 Welsh girls champion from Vale of Glamorgan. Sahra won their quarter-final tie by 2 and 1.
Now Miss Hassan plays Tara Davies, the Welsh girls title-winner in 2004 and 2006, in the second semi-final.
In the Welsh senior women's match-play championship at the same venue, former Curtis Cup player and many times Welsh women's champion, is through to her third final in a row. Winner of the seniors title for the past two years, Vicki plays Ann Lewis (Royal St David's) in Tuesday's final.
