SCOT CHRIS DOWN THE FIELD IN MICHIGAN

Aberdeenshire player Chris Baron from Oldmeldrum, a student at Belmont Abbey College, North Carolina, was sharing 76th place after rounds of 76 and 80 in the NCAA Division 2 men's championship at The Meadows Golf Club, Allendale in Michigan.
Chris had birdies at the fourth and 12th but a double-bogey 5 at the short seventh dragged him down.
The Scot is 15 strokes behind the leader, Jarin Todd (Sonoma State), who has scored 69 and 72 to lead by two from Hernan Boja (Barry University) with 70 and 73.
Barry (586) lead the team event from Florida Southern (591). Belmont Abbey College (608) are lying 123th of the 20 teams
