SCOTS PAIR DOWN THE FIELD IN GEORGIA

Neil McBride from Glasgow and Daniel Sommerville from St Andrews, both students at Clayton State University, Atlanta finished 32nd and 36th respectively in a field of 40 for the Peach Belt Conference college golf championship at Harbor Golf Club, Georgia.
Neil scored 82, 85 and 76 for a total of 243 over a tough par-72 course in excess of 7,000yd. Daniel scored 85, 81 and 80 for 246.
Baxter Culler (USC Upstate) won the individual honours with 69, 76 and 74 for 219.
Clayton State (943) finished seventh of eight in the team championship won by Columbus State University by 10 strokes with a total of 897.
