JODI SHARING SECOND PLACE IN UTAH
WITH ONE ROUND TO GO

Yorkshire girl Jodi Ewart, a first-year student at New Mexico University, was sharing second place with one round to go in the Mountain West Conference women's college golf championship at Entrada at Snow Canyon course, St George in Utah.
Catterick Bridge Golf Club member Jodi, from Middleham, has had rounds of 77 and 71 for a six-over-par tally of 148 over the 6,210yd, par-71 course.
Jodi's 71 was the lowest second-round score by anyone in the field of 35.
Miss Ewart, pictured above, had birdies at the second and fifth before bogeys at the eighth and ninth in matching the par of 35 to the turn. On the way home, Jodie parred every hole.
She shares second place with Valentine Derrey (Texas Christian University), the French player who was a beaten finalist in the British girls championship at Lanark in 2004. Valentine score 76 and 72.
Leading by two shots is Rachel Newren (Brigham Young University) with 72 and 74 for 146.
