US CURTIS CUP ACE MAKES IT THREE
WINS IN A ROW AT BATON ROUGE

US Curtis Cup player Amanda Blumenherst (Duke University, North Carolina) made it three wins in a row with another brilliant performance in the Louisiana State University Cleveland Classic at University Club, Baton Rouge today.
Amanda who has now won five times on the US women's college circuit, strung togther another three near-flawless rounds of 68, 69 and 70 over the 6,424yd, par-72 course to win by eight strokes with a nine-under-par total of 207. Nicola Hage (Auburn) was second on 215 with 72, 72 and 71.
Dublin's Dawn-Marie Conaty (Memphis) finished joint 36th in a field of 108 after an excellent final round of one-under-par 71 for a total of 228. Dawn-Marie's earlier rounds were 77 and 80. She birdied the fourth and seventh after bogeying the first in her final round.
Duke won yet another team title with a total of 872. Vanderbilt (878) were runners-up, Auburn (879) third and Tennessee *992) fourth. Memphis (949) were 19th of the 21 competing teams.
